“Folk music – crafted arrangements and rich harmonies”
Helen James of Keynsham and Paul Barclay from Priston expanded their established duo to form The Summerhouse Band. The group made their debut performance at the Priston Festival in 2016. Rooted in folk music, The Summerhouse Band explore the potential of rich arrangements; vocal and instrumental harmonies with songs and tunes from Ireland and Scotland plus numbers from the current and past popular folk repertoire.

Maaike Siegerist – originally from Amsterdam – with her band and a beautiful jazzy-blues selection of self-written pieces, on this occasion with fellow Dutch saxophonist Pjotr Jurtschenko, flown over for the weekend.
Listeners to the Keynsham Hour will be very familiar with georgeous jazz-blues influenced songs such as The Old Soviet Hotel and Yangtze River Blues, and if you can’t get enough of this Maaike and band will be on the Bandstand Stage on Sunday too
